A Day at the Park

We went to our first "big kids" park to play. Most of the play stuff was too old for Emerson. So, Todd took Em down the slide, but she really didn't like it and couldn't wait to get down. Next we tried the swings -- Emerson sitting on my lap while we gently went back & forth. This was also no good.

She had much more fun picking at the mulch. She found 2 good pieces - one for each hand and held on to them the rest of the time at the park (if you look closely, you can see a piece in each hand). It was a little cool & windy, so we tried to keep Em's hood up & her coat zipped. Keeping anything zipped lately is a very difficult task. Em is obsessed with unzipping things. She loves to have her coat on so she can immediately unzip, then she'll walk around trying to put the zipper back together.

Still holding her pieces of mulch... (and look her coat is actually zipped, only because she didn't want to let go of her mulch!).

Ashley HATED to swings with a passion for the first 2 1/2 years of her life. Then one day, she "decided" that she likes them. Now it is her favorite thing to do...she can actually pump on her own. Yeah for Mom!!!

Enjoy these "little" moments they make it all worth while. They grow up and change so quickly!!!

pretty soon she will be want to climb up to the top of the slide all by herself! They change their mind so fast and become so independent! Looks like you just need to get her some mulch/bark and she would be entertained for hours!!! She is so stinky cute!!
