Cleaning Up

Emerson has entered a new phase... the "cleaning phase". She is really into taking the cushions & pillows off the chairs and then putting everything back together. She also knows just want to do with a tissue. She'll "wipe" her nose while making a blowing sound. It's so strange to see her be able to do things like that herself (not that she is really wiping her nose, but she does understand what to do & wants to do it herself). She's also likes to get hold of a napkin to wipe her mouth and then wipe my mouth. Then she'll wipe her tray or the coffee table.

Getting back to the chair cushions.... If they don't get back on the chair, Em will use them to play on. Last week, Em spent some time hanging out on the cushions...

Prepping for bedtime...

Em even tries to "clean up" outside. She seems to always be able to find bird droppings and wants to wipe them away. Thank goodness Emerson is good about letting me wash her hands!

She's also been really big on picking up fuzz or hair off the floor. Thankfully she doesn't try to put it in her mouth, but instead always brings whatever it is right to me. Not sure why she associates me with the garbage, but at least she's helping to clean up.
