It lasted a little longer

Emerson did not recover from being sick as quickly as we had hoped for. We ended up having a very long night. We both rearraged our Monday schedule so we could tag-team staying home with Emerson. She was better than the night before, but still quite fussy with hardly any appetite. A doctor's visit confirmed that she had a stomach bug. By evening Em was doing better and Todd had to leave for Chicago for training. Tuesday she did even better and went to daycare. By Wednesday she was pretty much back to her usual happy and talkative self and, thankfully, Todd was back home.

Pretty much back to normal...

Thursday was our 4th wedding anniversary. We celebrated with pizza at home. It was perfect! It had been a very long week and we were too tired to do anything more.

Emerson also had another 1st. After nearly 5 months of sleeping in a car seat next to our bed, Em has finally made it to her crib. We had been wanting to make the move for the past several weeks, but it seemed like something always interferred. She had had a couple of colds and the doctor recommended keeping her as upright as possible while sleeping, so the car seat continued to be the best option. I was also a little worried that she'd end up waking up often, so I wanted to make sure we waited to transition her over until it was a weekend night and it didn't matter if we were tired the next day. However, she did wonderful and slept so well all night. She even slept until 7:00 the next morning and was all smiles upon waking (as usual).

She took yet another nap very well in her crib (here she is upon waking).
